About Us

Early in 2018 Rachel discovered a book series that was about to be turned into a TV series, and decided to start reading it. Megan had read the series before, and as Rachel messaged her daily about the book she realized she'd forgotten parts of the book and decided to reread it so they both could be on the same page (literally!). They had so much fun reading the series together and discussing it that they soon sought out another book to read together, then another. Thus an unofficial book club began; Garters & Hoes.

A good portion of the books we happen to read are of the smutty romance variety. These novels can get..interesting, and we felt like everyone needed to know what we thought about them.

With a bachelors degree in English, and a general love for literature, I've read my fair share of books. At this point in my life I don't have a lot of time to curl up with a good book, so my best friend is Audible. A subscription to the Romance Package keeps the books rolling so I don't have to use credits on what may or may not be quality literature. It's also a vast source of entertainment and cringe worthy descriptions. I have thoughts...I hope you enjoy them.
